Indices of Multiple Deprivation

The heat map shows the levels of deprivation across the East Riding. The Indices of Multiple Deprivation Score allows us to compare areas across England, identify the most deprived areas, explore types of deprivation and look at changes in deprivation. In relation to QoL, deprivation has been shown to predict poor personal and societal wellbeing which we know impacts QoL negatively. Those who are deprived generally report less life satisfaction, are less able to secure goods that are essential and experience inequality as they are not gaining the normative ideals that others are.
